History

Since the formation of the Chemical Warfare Laboratory in 1931, DRDC Ottawa's history can be seen as that of an ever changing organization, responding to the shifting political, military, science and technology, business and cultural conditions of the world.

The fact that solid research and development could be consistently produced in an environment of continuous change is testament to the competency and dedication of the scientific, administrative and technical staff at DRDC Ottawa.

Today, DRDC Ottawa is prepared to build on previous successes and innovations to advance into the future.
