Collaborations / Partnering

DRDC Ottawa will collaborate with other Canadian government organizations, Canadian industry and universities, and international partners whenever it is feasible, advantageous and cost effective to do so. By pooling knowledge, facilities and costs, both parties maximize their access to resources, often unique in the world.

Along with funding programs, a number of mechanisms exist to support collaboration and partnering with DRDC Ottawa. These include:

• Service agreements with Canadian industry & universities
• Service Level Agreements with departmental & interdepartmental clients
• Special Purpose Accounts with Canadian industry & universities
• Collaborative licensing or contracting arrangements

These mechanisms cover the spectrum from full cost recovery to shared costing relationships to contribution in kind.
